Pictures by phone a bonus for parents

A nursery in Sunderland is sending parents photos of their children by mobile phone as part of a new service.

Joanne Anderson, who has owned Siblings Nursery for six months, came upwith the idea when she had to leave her own son at nursery.

Ms Anderson said, 'I was happy with the nursery I was sending him to,but one day I took him and he had a few tears. I rang and he wasperfectly fine, but I really wanted to see that he was OK.

'I know how hard it is to leave your child. Not all parents have theopportunity like I do now to see them during the day. If the child isupset when the parent first leaves, it's quite natural, but it's nice toshow them that they have settled down after they've gone.'
