The Baby and Toddler Project was launched to help parents in the hard-to-reach areas of north and west Norfolk. Four development officers have been recruited who will visit existing baby and toddler groups and offer services such as health and safety sessions, educational play activities, advice on nutrition and exercise, and events such as 'Prams in the Park' days.
Sadie Ditton, Baby and Toddler Project manager, said, 'We are very excited about the project, as we can do some great things to help parents in the area. From the New Year we will be visiting baby and toddler groups and offering them a safety audit. Parents can also ask the development officers for general advice. We also aim to encourage parents to share transport, as it can be difficult for parents to access the groups in such rural areas.'
