The theme of 'bears' is one that adults always find appealing. Nostalgia for their own teddy bears and the thought of revisiting many childhood experiences, including favourite songs and rhymes, will inspire many practitioners to plan for such a topic.
However, projects need to be planned around what is of interest to the children, rather than to the practitioners. The curriculum within an early years setting needs to be relevant and meaningful for the children.
