A fanfare has been composed to mark the Music & Drama Education Expo 2023.

Written by WO2 (BM) Jonathan Spencer, the fanfare is titled ‘Exposition’, and will be performed by both the Band of the Coldstream Guards and the Band of the Welsh Guards across the two-day event at London's Business Design Centre.

The performance falls into a rehearsal period for the Bands of the Household Division, as they prepare for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

Corps Engagement Team Warrant Officer Class 2 Jonathan Spencer said: ‘The Royal Corps of Army Music’s Corps Engagement Team are very excited to be attending the Music and Drama EXPO 23.

‘I am also thrilled that the Fanfare Teams of the Band of the Coldstream Guards and the Band of the Welsh Guards will be performing my specially composed fanfare ‘Exposition’ to open the event on both days. As a Bandmaster in British Army Music it is my pleasure to have written the work and what an occasion for it to be performed at.’

The MDEE 2023 is free to attend, and is held at the Business Design Centre, London.
