Redland Green School’s Twitter feed features everything from revision tips and ideas from lessons to details of online resources and department successes. The school has a dedicated Twitter page on its website listing the most recent tweets and many departments have their own feeds, as well as the senior leadership team and Learning Resource Centre.
For instance the history department posts questions like “how prepared was the USSR for the Second World War?” while the PE staff give details of forthcoming sports training sessions and matches. Other departments highlight interesting facts and figures and promote debate between students.
The school began using Twitter in this way a year ago and even though it is voluntary, more staff are signing up to the idea.
