It also has two other nurseries in Glasgow, two in Dundee and one each in Perth and Arbroath.
The new-build Nithsdale House nursery, in the Pollokshields area of the city, will offer 66 places and employ up to 20 members of staff.It has been built in the grounds of Nithsdale Lodge nursing home, which is also owned by the nursery group's managing director and founder Deepak Poddar.
He said that there would definitely be scope to develop links between the nursery children and the nursing home residents. 'We're forming a community within a community. It reminds older people of their grandchildren.'
The new opening means the nursery chain now offers more than 550 childcare places and employs around 200 staff.
There are also plans to open up to four more nurseries in the next 12 months.
Mr Poddar said, 'It's been harder to get cash to expand but we have been able to maintain growth by controlling costs and renegotiating deals on services. We also have our own in-house estates manager and building team.'
He added, 'Our average occupancy is up 5 per cent on last year to 85 per cent.'
Little Einstein's is also creating an extension at Hillside Creche in Glasgow and at Ninewells Hospital nursery in Dundee.
