Position: Trainee practitioner at Windmill Hill Nursery in Swindon

- How did you feel about winning Childbase's Trainee Practitioner of the Year 2011?

Winning was a lovely surprise and has made me feel appreciated by Childbase and all the people who voted for me. At the company's annual awards I was presented with a plaque and points, which go towards a bonus scheme it has put in place.

- How long have you been at the nursery?

I started at Windmill Hill Nursery two years ago. I've just finished my NVQ level 2 and hope to finish my Level 3 in July when I will be fully qualified.

- What are your future plans?

I'm hoping to work my way up through the nursery and eventually become a team leader. In the future I plan to manage my own setting.
