Position: Manager of Wonderland Nursery in Arbroath, Scotland, part of the Little Einstein's nursery group
- How did you feel about winning the nursery group's employee of the month?
It was totally unexpected. It's the first time I have won since being at the nursery for 12 years. The award of £100 is in recognition of the effort that my team and I put into getting a level 5 in our latest Care Commission inspection.
- Have you always worked in nurseries?
I worked as a nanny while training when I was living in England. I moved to Scotland for my husband and started as a trainee at the nursery, where I am now manager.
- What are your future plans?
I'm currently doing the BA in Childhood Practice. I've done a year so far and have another four years as it's a distance learning course.
