What inspired you to write your novel Community Chest?

Working as a childminder, I have met many family set ups that are run by a hardworking, multi-tasking woman who consistently puts herself last and deals with whatever life throws. I wanted to portray this in my book.

Is it inspired by your own experiences as a childminder?

Although everything is fictional, the character of Sally and her life is without doubt a mirror of my life. My husband and I have three sons like Sally and our money situation is always precarious due to the nature of the job.
