Position: Former corporate fundraiser for the Children's Trust in Tadworth, Surrey, now working in fashion
- Why did you decide to do a sponsored skate?
I regularly donate money to the Children's Trust and after hearing that one of the children I worked with had passed away, I decided to do something that was going to be really difficult, but fun, and raise a lot of money.
- How did it go?
It was really enjoyable but a lot more painful than I thought it would be. I skated 450 miles from Edinburgh to London over nine days, with my boyfriend cycling alongside me and friends joining me on the way. I had such amazing support from family and friends and was able to update people on my progress via Twitter and Facebook.
- How much money have you raised?
So far I've raised over £4,600 and hope to get to £5,000. The money will fund trips and go towards equipment for the Trust.
