Why did you make the move from working as a nanny to a nursery nurse?
I found working as a nanny quite lonely at times and missed being part of a team. My job as a nursery nurse is a lot more challenging and rewarding.
How long have you worked at the nursery?
I've been at Wainscot House Day Nursery as a nursery nurse for five months now. Working at the nursery is very different to being a nanny, as every day is planned and structured in advance, whereas as a nanny I did my planning on a day-to-day basis.
What are your future plans?
I hope to continue working at the nursery and eventually become a room leader. In the next few years I want to train to be a special educational needs co-ordinator.
