Position: Lead practitioner at Starfish Day Nursery in Guildford, Surrey
- How does it feel to be the first lead practitioner within the Casterbridge nursery group?
It is very exciting, as the work that I do will help mould the job role further. The position has allowed me to put the knowledge and experience I have gained over the past years into practice in supporting and developing others.
- What is it that you enjoy about your new role?
The position has given me a new motivation as I get to work with the whole team each week doing something new and different.
- How has it benefited the nursery and staff?
All staff are receiving hands-on support on a weekly basis, which is helping them to focus on areas that need developing in their rooms and in their own practice. This has had a positive impact on the nursery and on the children's learning.
