How do you feeling about winning: Bolton College's Childcare Apprentice of the Year award?
I was really pleased to receive the award in recognition of my work with the children. At the awards ceremony at the college, I was presented with a trophy and certificate by my tutor Michelle Bennett.
How did you celebrate the win?
I was featured in the local newspaper and the nursery published the news on their website, along with telling all the parents about it.
What made you choose a career in childcare?
I have a passion for working with children and previously did a three-month work placement in a nursery, before applying for an apprenticeship at Playdays. At the moment I am focusing on completing my NVQ and gaining more experience in the sector.
