Position: Owner of Rope Green Farm Day Nursery in Cheshire
- How did you feel about winning the title of Young Business Person of the Year at the Trinity Mirror Cheshire Business Awards 2010?
I was very surprised and delighted. It is nice to be recognised and it's a credit to everyone who works at the nursery. We recently celebrated our first birthday, so this was a wonderful present, along with being graded outstanding by Ofsted in our last inspection.
- Why did you think you won the award?
Since we opened I have had a clear vision of what we want to achieve with the nursery, and my wonderful team of staff have helped implement this.
- What makes the nursery special?
The nursery is based in a converted barn on a working dairy farm. Children have the opportunity to learn how to grow their own produce and help take care of the animals that live on the farm.
