What made you want to write books about wildlife?
I've always loved animals since I was a child and dreamed of becoming a published author.
When my children were young, I used to draw them pictures of animals and make up stories, which they loved. Writing the books has meant I'm able to help animals - all the money I make from sales is donated to wildlife charities - as well as inspire children to enjoy reading.
What are the books about?
The books are about the adventures and mishaps of Bushy the bush hog. I am currently working on the third book in the series, which focuses on the plight of hedgehogs, whose population have dramatically declined.
How much money have you raised?
So far I have raised more than £500 for animal charities from my books and other related fundraising activities. The charities include a hedgehog rescue centre and Nuneaton & Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary.
