Two meerkats came to play with the children at Buddies Nursery in Bishop Auckland, County Durham.
The meerkats were there as part of a visit from Jays Animal Enounters. Co-owner Pauline Buddin said, 'They were happy to be cuddled and have their chins scratched.'
