The London Development Agency (LDA) is currently collecting statistics from the 33 boroughs involved in the CAP. They are looking to record the number of subsidised CAP places on offer and the take-up of these places from April to June 2007.
The figures to date were privately circulated by London Councils to the 26 boroughs who had communicated their results to the LDA, with Brent coming out on top in occupancy.
Brent secured 76 per cent occupancy in flexible childcare places, offering 332 places and filling 252. The London average is currently 47 per cent. Brent's take-up for full-time places was 54 per cent, twice as high as the London average of 23 per cent.
