The 10 were unveiled as this year’s winners of the annual Let Teachers SHINE competition, which is run by the education charity SHINE.
Now in its fifth year, the initiative is focused on ideas to support maths, English and science education and is supported by Capita SIMS.
Winners this year include Peter Scutt from Isambard Community School in Swindon who has won £15,000 to develop video resources to make science more accessible for disadvantaged pupils.
Michelle Lockwood of St Bernard’s Catholic High School in Rotherham also gets £15,000 for her spelling project that turns students into DJs – using rap and rhyme to learn spelling rules.
