Caped crusaders gathered at the Old Co-operative Nursery in Gotham, Nottinghamshire, to celebrate a mural of Batman in their nursery yard.
Nursery manager Charlotte Harris had invited local artist Buber Nebz to decorate the wall as part of its superhero activities, which commemorate the town’s most famous superhero.
The children also visited Wollaton Hall, where the latest Batman film was made, and experimented with their own street art pictures.
Ms Harris was inspired to create a mural after seeing Nebz’s art in Loughborough. ‘We chose a Batman theme as we are based in Gotham, which is, as everyone knows, the home of Batman, and we also have an out-of-school club called The Batcave,’ she said.
‘The look on the children’s faces was magical.’
