The big picture: Calling the tune on the road for families

Musicians from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra visited the PlayTalkRead bus for an interactive music session to encourage mothers and fathers to have more fun with their children and encourage a life-long appreciation of music.

The visit was organised as part of the Scottish government'sPlayTalkRead roadshow, which will see the bus visit Scotland's 32 localauthorities to offer parents and children free play, song, rhyme andstory sessions.

The PlayTalkRead bus was created jointly with the Scottish Book Trustand other voluntary organisations, including the Scottish Pre-SchoolPlay Association.
