Chapel Grange Montessori Nursery is one of 13 settings that has gained accreditation during the spring term of 2012.
MEAB assessors said that the nursery's ethos, setting and teaching practice were excellent.
The nursery was presented with a commemorative plaque at a ceremony at the Institute of Education in London in June.
Nursery manager Victoria Stokes said, 'We are delighted. It is a fantastic reflection on the high level of dedication and professionalism the staff have for the Montessori ethos and to the children in our care.'
