
Pupils from Barlborough Hall School, a Catholic school for children aged three to 11, raised £2,000 to fund the building of a water tower at Makumbi. The fundraising was launched after deputy headmaster David Wilson took part in an exchange visit to Makumbi.
Barlborough is one of nine Jesuit schools in the UK linked with a school in the developing world as part of the Companions programme. The aim is to deepen pupils' understanding of justice at home and overseas.
