A collection of grass-covered sculptures has taken pride of place in a children’s charity garden in the USA.
British company Easigrass flew the animal sculptures, designed and handcrafted using Royal Horticultural Society medal-winning artificial grass, to Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill in North Carolina, near the University of North Carolina Medical Center.
The site provides ‘home-away-from-home’ accommodation for families of children being treated at the hospital.
The charity’s courtyard garden now features a grass menagerie including bears, a giraffe, lion, elephant and snail.
The artificial grass animal garden was officially unveiled at a charity dedication ceremony attended by over 100 guests.
‘We are so excited to see the joy our grass menagerie brings to the families who call the house home,’ said a spokesperson.
