
Taking place in May, June, November and December, the concerts, which are designed to appeal to children and encourage audience participation, will be held in a converted medieval church in York.
Next month’s concert (13 June) is Kathakali Hima Sundari, an Indian dance drama based on the story of Snow White. Told through the ancient art of Kathakali, the classic dance drama of Kerala tells the tale of a sleeping princess, her evil stepmother and a handsome prince. The concert also promises bright colours of India, stunning costumes and rhythmic music.
Tickets for Kathakali Hima Sundari cost £11 for children and £13 for adults.
A family and friends ticket - two adults and two children - costs £28.
