The big picture: On the stage

Activities Provision
There were ghostly goings on for children from Busy Bears Nursery
in Durham when they met the cast and crew of The Phantom of the
Opera.

Durham's Gala Theatre Stage School runs workshops alongside productions for a behind-the-scenes experience of the special effects, lights, stage make up and costumes.

Director Kate Sorahan said, 'The children were so excited and intrigued with everything they saw. Their favourite bits seemed to be on stage with the boat and the magically moving monkey and piano. They loved playing in the stage fog, which I have to admit is one of my favourite things.'

Nursery proprietor Emma Graham, said, 'Kate was inspiring and brought so much excitement and fun to the day. Thank you so much to the cast and team at the Gala!'
