The Big Picture: Park offers fun on a large scale

Provision
Two new play structures designed to encourage children to be inventive with their play have been opened at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest near Ringwood, Hampshire.

The Nest, enjoyed here by Callum and Evie, is made up of three giant wooden nests linked together by tunnels that children can explore, and the second structure, a large, hollow tunnel, provides a space in which to crawl, spy and hide. Both have been designed by landscape architects Davies White.

The two new structures at the country park's mile-long play trail join 11 other unique pieces of play equipment, including a 'snake pit', 'pond maze' and a treetop trail.
