Titles in the Bookbug category for three-to seven-year-old readers are Mouse's First Night at Moonlight School by Simon Puttock, illustrated by Ali Pye; Never Tickle a Tiger by Pamela Butchart, illustrated by Marc Boutavant; and Wanted! Ralfy Rabbit Book Burglar, by
Emily MacKenzie.
The awards, organised by the Scottish Book Trust, are voted for entirely by children. The Bookbug Family Bag, given to all Primary 1 children during Book Week Scotland (23-29 November), also includes a voting slip. Nurseries and schools can sign up their children to read and vote for their favourites at www.scottishbooktrust.com/scba/register.
