The Big Picture: Write moves

Kiddi Caru Caldecotte day nursery is taking a new approach to
support children to improve their handwriting skills.

The Write Dance method provides movement opportunities through music so children can
develop the physical skills needed to develop their handwriting.

Nursery manager Dawn Delaney said, 'Write Dance is a fun and inspiring way to help children learn handwriting skills. Children use their gross motor movements to make letter formations in the air as they move, which goes on to support their handwriting. Mark-making and learning handwriting skills can be very challenging for some children and this makes everything much more fun!'
