The search for Nanny of the Year 2013 has begun, with a new website, www.nannyoftheyear.co.uk, offering information about the award, details on how to apply and winners’ stories.
All professionally qualified nannies that are currently working as a nanny and have at least a Level 3 in childcare, two years’ experience and paediatric first aid, can nominate themselves or be nominated by their employer.
The closing date for nominations is 12 April and the interview day for finalists will be on 10 May. The winner will be announced at the Chiltern College Professional Nanny Conference on 18 May.
Cathy Wakely, the admissions and marketing manager of Chiltern College said, ‘The organisers believe this award recognises the skill, dedication and commitment required to be a nanny and in doing so raises the profile of professional nannies. Their role often goes unrecognised and if you enter for the award it gives you the opportunity to have your work and your profession recognised and celebrated.’
