Top marks for Hawk Training

Apprenticeship provider Hawk Training has been graded outstanding by Ofsted, following a period of sustained investment in its staff and resources.

Hawk offers apprenticeship programmes nationwide to people aged 16 and above, who are looking for a job as an apprentice or who are already in employment and want to gain vocational qualifications.

The success of its employer partnerships was recognised by Ofsted as key to Hawk’s success. It has a dedicated recruitment team which works with employers to help them select suitable candidates, and it also supports the apprentice through this process.

Ofsted also noted the outstanding standard of its teaching and learning, which results in confident learners who can demonstrate ‘excellent employability skills’.

Commercial director Crawford Knott (pictured above, far left) said, ‘We are delighted to have become the first independent private provider to get a Grade 1 for ‘Overall effectiveness’ under the new Ofsted Common Inspection Framework. The team at Hawk have worked extremely hard and thanks go to our partner employers and learners for their continued participation and support.

He added, ‘We intend to build on this result to continually improve the quality of our provision on behalf of employers and their apprentices, who are an integral part of our success.’
