The nursery and crèche is open to health club members and non-members.
The setting will be known as Tops Copnor from September and given new signage.
This is Tops Day Nurseries' 30th setting. The south coast nursery group now provides places for more than 2,100 children.
This is Tops' third deal of the year having taken over a former children's centre in Fawley, Hampshire, which opened this week. The setting provides care for children from three months old and is open until 8pm.
In April, the group announced it is to co-manage a new nursery and forest school at Lancing College in West Sussex.
Founder and managing director of Tops Day Nurseries Cheryl Hadland, (pictured), said of the new nursery in Copnor, ‘We like the friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the nursery as it now, and are keen to enable Jenny to continue to lead and manage her team of 15 wonderful colleagues just as she has for the last decade.
‘We will endeavour to reduce any use of one-use plastic, and reducing waste in general, increasing plants inside and outside but also parents might like us to start Tops Forest School, yoga and cooking school, and we might give it a fresh coat of eco paint.’
