This unrivalled guided trip interweaves fascinating visits to a range of rural and urban early years organisations with a host of visits to some of India's most beguiling cities, monuments and places of interest.
The tour is tailored especially for early years professionals, and offers a unique chance to explore this wonderful country and its diverse array of early childhood services, from voluntary projects in the slums of Mumbai to the private nursery chains proliferating across the country.
The journey begins in Mumbai, moving on to Mysore, the Nagarhole National Park for safaris, then to Thrissur and Kochi. Professional visits include the NGO Door Step School, Podar Jumbo Kids, and a range of Anganwadis and Balwadis (government projects for disadvantaged children and families).
Cultural highlights include the Elephanta Caves, the Mysore Palace and stunning temples. There's the chance to sample delicious traditional food and go shopping for crafts and clothing.
Di Chilvers, who went on the October 2016 trip to India, says, 'Thank you to Master Travel for making the tour a wonderfully memorable, thought provoking and inspiring visit on so many levels.'
