Website guide to new curriculum

A website launched by the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency aims to help teachers implement the new primary curriculum from September 2011.

The National Curriculum website contains information on the new primary curriculum framework as well as guidance and a range of tools and case studies to support schools and assist them in planning.

It features an interactive guide to the curriculum and will be complemented with printed copies of the new primary handbook and guidance materials sent to schools this month.

Schools minister Diana Johnson said, 'This website is a key step forward in bringing in the new primary curriculum. QCDA has also appointed a team of primary curriculum network advisors who will work with local authorities to help them make the most of the opportunities presented by the new primary curriculum.'
