We know that preparing for and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage is top of mind for everyone working with children from birth to five. The next year will be crucial for local authorities and practitioners to get to grips with what best practice will entail and how that will fit with targets for improving outcomes.

As ever, Nursery World will be there to help you rise to the challenges, providing a wealth of information, advice and ideas to help you do your job to the best of your ability. And from next week the magazine will have an exciting new structure and look, along with some great new features, all linking in to the EYFS framework.

Of course, Nursery World will still bring you the latest news and analysis of Government policy and changes in the sector, as well as a wide range of opinion. A central good practice section will have four strands based on the four EYFS themes - a Unique Child, Enabling Environments, Positive Relationships and Learning and Development. And each week, Professional Life will offer expert advice on management, training and careers.

We're really excited about the new Nursery World - do let us know what you think.
