Busy Bees nursery in Huntingdon held a fun-filled Christmas party for the children and their parents that included dancing, festive games and activities, such as hunt the Christmas picture and put the button on the snowman. Father Christmas also dropped off some backpacks from Busy Bees and a book from the nursery parent partnership group as presents for the children.
Kids @ Play Pre-school in Ilford has raised £347 for Haven House Children’s Hospice and bought Christmas presents for the children being cared for there. Children from the pre-school personally delivered the gifts to the hospice, which was very grateful for the donations.
The children at Looby Lou’s Nursery in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, loved wearing festive jumpers to nursery to raise money for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Together they raised £200 for the charity.
Children enjoyed learning about snow in the winter wonderland nursery at Tollgate Primary School in Suffolk. They made pretend snow to explore their senses and created lots of snowy pictures in their art lessons.
Staff at Britwell Baptist Pre-school took pupils to the local shopping centre to see some real reindeer and meet Father Christmas. The children were able to stroke the reindeer, and Father Christmas gave each child a balloon and their own stocking to take home with them.
The Co-operative Childcare Nursery Wimbledon organised a festive evening for its children and their families. The pre-school children made mince pies for the parents and they were able to decorate cards and biscuits during the evening, too. Everyone really enjoyed the evening, especially the Christmas carol session with musical instruments.
Sunshine Day Nursery in Shoreham by Sea in West Sussex celebrated Christmas Jumper Day raising funds for Save The Children by taking part in a nursery-wide selfie and enjoying Christmas Dinner together.
Children at Parkview Nursery in Leicester made Christmas displays about families with captions such as 'we look after each other' 'we spend our time together' and 'we help each other'.
