Why did you decide to run the London Marathon?
I decided to do the London Marathon as I have always watched it since moving to London 22 years ago and I felt inspired by people of all ages and abilities doing it over the years. After completing the Bupa 2012 10k run for Bowel and Cancer Research, I felt passionate about raising awareness for bowel cancer, which is the second biggest killer in the UK.
What kind of training have you been doing to prepare?
I have been running four times a week following a strict training programme devised by a running coach, and joining a group track session every Wednesday.
Would you consider doing it again?
I am now becoming addicted to running but I will tell you after I complete my first marathon whether I would do it again!
