Easton Community Children's Centre in Bristol are very proud of Chantelle Douglas for leading a piece of work with some of the Rainbow children. They talked about the recent protests, watched a clip of a peaceful protest and then talked about how we can be kind to everybody. The children drew their own signs.
Practice manager Isabel Ruddick posted about the project on the centre's Facebook page, which attracted lots of attention. 'We feel like it would be a lovely piece of positive news to share and we have displayed the children's protest signs at the entrance to our nursery next to our huge fabric rainbow,' says Isabel.
'We are doing a large piece of work similar to the 'mirrors and windows' article in Nursery World's June 2020 issue, where we hope to also diversify all of our bookshelves.'
