Tackling and Preventing Violence Against Women and Girls

Charity figures show that 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. With more repeat victims than any other crime, it is essential for public sector organisations to work in partnership to support survivors and tackle domestic abuse.

This one-day training course, chaired by leading VAWG specialist Davina James-Hanman, will provide guidance on effectively implement new strategy and enable initiatives focused on preventing violence before it occurs.

Through workshops and highly interactive sessions, delegates will learn how to prevent VAWG through education and community engagement, effectively work in partnerships and adopt clear protocols for information sharing with other providers.

Delegates will take back an action plan to help implement the latest guidance and embed lessons learned within their institution.
