Children at St George’s Nursery have been meeting residents at Murrayfield House Care Home and Scotland’s National Orchestra as part of an intergenerational music project to improve well-being.
The project pilot, funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery, aims to use orchestral music to improve the social and emotional health of the elderly by encouraging singing and games between generations.
