Grace and her scampish dog Georgie return in this fabulous book. As with her Apple Pie ABC, Alison Murray reworks a traditional rhyme (this time 'One, two, buckle my shoe') to produce a charming little tale around Grace and Georgie. The illustrations are superb, as are the quality of production, the playful use of language and a neat little twist at the end. Objects to be counted along the way can be revisited in more detail in the retelling and so avoid slowing the pace or diminishing the fun and humour of the story. Well worth adding to your book collection.
