The Great Fairy Tale Disaster

by David Conway and Melanie Williamson, Hodder Children's Books, hardback, 11.99

Big Bad Wolf is old and has run out of puff to blow down the three little pigs' house. So, he enters the pages of The Fairy Tale Book in search of a nice, relaxing story. But he doesn't like wearing Cinderella's dress or being kissed in Sleeping Beauty, and Jack and the Beanstalk is too scary for him. Chaos unfolds when he flees the three bears' house: Hansel and Gretel push Prince Charming into the oven and the Princess kisses a Billy Goat Gruff. It seems there is only one place left for him!

This is a wonderfully elaborate story that will inspire repeated visits and hours of discussion.
